By 2030, aggregated EVs around the world could create at least 4 TWh of flexible storage capacity. Smart and bidirectional V2X charging - allowing EVs to charge on the cheapest greenest energy and push surplus back to the grid - are essential technologies for unlocking the full value of this lucrative storage potential. 

Kaluza, Volkswagen Group and OVO Energy recently completed Project INFLEXION, part of the V2X Innovation Programme, funded by DESNZ and delivered by Innovate UK. The project partners conducted customer research and simulations of V2X EV charging to develop compelling customer propositions and sustainable business models that will enable the effective scaling of the technology.
